DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

I do not take insurance. However, if you have out-of-network benefits and would like to submit a record of our sessions to your insurance company for reimbursement, please request a superbill during our initial session. Check with your insurance provider about their reimbursement policies regarding therapy and mental health services.
 

WHAT DOES A THERAPY SESSION WITH YOU COST?

All sessions regardless if individual, adolescent, or couple therapy are $200 per 50-minute session. Should you feel you need additional time please inquire about pricing and rates for extended services.  If I cannot accommodate you for any reason, I would be happy to provide you with a referral or recommendation for someone I feel might be a great alternative option.
 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

I currently accept Venmo, checks, or cash as the acceptable forms of payment at this time within my practice.
 

DO YOU HAVE REDUCED-RATE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE?

Reduced rate sessions are available on a very limited basis. Please speak with me for more information on reduced rates and availability.
 

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

More than 24 hours in advance, you may reschedule/cancel a consult or session at no charge. If you do not show up at your regularly scheduled appointment or cancel an hour or two before, you are liable for the full session fee. I understand that emergencies arise and I will take this into consideration.

CAN YOU DO Phone or Zoom/TELEHEALTH SESSIONS?

Although I do prefer to see clients face-to-face as I believe that psychotherapy is more effective in person, in case of an emergency or a previously agreed upon arrangement, I am able to provide Zoom/telehealth sessions. I do not offer phone sessions. Please be aware insurance does not reimburse for phone sessions.

ARE YOU AVAILABLE AFTER HOURS?

All of my clients can reach me 24 hours a day via email. You may also text me non-urgent messages or questions on my work phone, listed at the bottom of this page. Should you contact me after 9:00 pm your call/message/email will be replied to the following business day.

 

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER THERAPISTS?

As someone with a diverse background, I have experienced what it is like to feel different, to feel confused, to feel overlooked, misunderstood, and not heard. In addition, my own life struggles and experiences combined with my educational background and extensive professional experience have given me the wisdom that creates a therapeutic space that is safe, filled with compassion, empathy, and understanding.
